Description:
Mahieu Diploid 98-496 A [W.B. WILSON seedling via: COUTURIER #83-W-79 X (MONT BLANC x BLOODSTREAM)] 26 MRe 11 SEV NOC VFR EXT 24 hours, 3 way Crispate CLASSIC SPIDER 6:1 ratio The pod parent of this plant is a Willie Belle Wilson seedling thought to, perhaps, be a sibling to SPINDAZZLE, however this one has gorgeous substance and is pod Fertile. This is an amazing 3-way Crispate CLASSIC SPIDER (6:1 ratio) measuring 11 inches naturally standing. Every bloom is different. All display some from of crispation. In the greenhouse (16 hour light cycles under 1000 watt lights) the form is extremely Crispate. The sepals quill and flatten into very rare keel-like shape with the tips twisting and curling (see detail). The petals are quilled at the base and pinched at the ends. A cool rainy night in the garden produced the gorgeous Cascade in the lower photo. Sometimes has extra petaloids in the center of the bloom. Very Fragrant blooms (like h dumoriterii, if you have smelled that.) NOC/Extended bloomer 24 hrs. The color is a warm, deep violet pink, chartreuse throat with white midribs. Extremely Fertile pollen, no pods, though I did not know it was nocturnal when I was trying it...
