Mahieu Diploid 96-164 W [(TRAHLYTA x ASTERISK )X BELLADONNA STARFISH] 33 M 11.5 NOC EXT lt FR 4 way branching 18 buds Spatulate Unusual Form with pinching and twisting action in the segments. Flower form is flat as a dinner plate and as large as one! A gorgeous violet with a purple blue band on the petals and a ruffled cream picotee on all segments! This diamond dusted bloom has a chartreuse throat and the petals display a micro-ruffled near bubbly texture -- this trait is prevalent in PURPLE SATELLITE's children. We are getting many gorgeous CLEAR purples from Purple Satellite. PS was absolutely the best parent for purple-blue spiders and UFs in the '01 seedling crop! BELLADONNA STARFISH (a full pod-sibling to TRIUNE BEING) has been a wonderful parent, and many of her children display this knobby edging and lighter picotee -- very uncommon in the Unusual Forms class. Very fertile pollen, reluctant pod parent, but I did not know it was nocturnal when I was testing it. Hit it at dusk, and you may ,well, get pods. Very vigorous grower/clumper.
