The fruit on Patriot ripens over a long period from July into August, Yield is high 10 to 20 pound on average. Patriot blueberry is considered one of the best all around varieties for adaptability, hardiness, consistent yields, high quality fruit and disease resistance. There are other varieties with better ornamental value but none perform better in the garden. Next to Bluecrop, Patriot is perhaps the most widely planted variety in the U.S. Patriot blueberry excels with early, extra large sweet berries. Attractive erect growth habit, showy blossoms and striking bright red fall color add to the appeal of this blueberry.
