Description:
KOOKABURRA is a pinkish-mauve and taupe blend bitone with a faint violet halo band above a neon chartreuse throat. The blooms are extremely triangular in presentation with pinched petals and twisted, slightly quilled sepals. 60 inches tall with widely-spaced 5 way branching and an extreme bud builder, blooming until frost in ‘08. ‘Kookaburra’s’ parentage involves the rare (in the modern gene pool) species H. hakuunensis which is an excellent parent for bud builders with high budcounts and impressive branching. Other cultivars in ‘Kookaburra’s’ pedigree are excellent parents for clear purple Unusual Forms. Pollen fertile, we believe it is pod fertile. [PURPLE ODDITY X (H. hakuunensis X FIVE JOHN LAMBERTS)] 5 way branching and 38 buds. nocturnal fragrant
