Mahieu 2004 Diploid 00-265-E [(TRAHLYTA x OKLAHOMA KICKING BIRD) X (SATCH MO x BLUE VENTURE)] 30 M 8 SEV NOC EXT 3 way branching 24 buds, appears to be pollen sterile, but has set pods very easily. This huge Unusual Form Daylily is a super extended bloomer -- it takes 2-3 days to open fully and in cool weather the bloom can last 48 hours! (please see garden photos link below) Blooms open blackish purple and mature to a velvety blackish grape purple with a white picotee on all segments. Lemon-chartreuse throat. The shape, rich color and extended bloom habit make this an incredible contribution to the Unusual Forms class.
