Description:
Mahieu Diploid-96-124 A [RIPPON LEA X TRAHLYTA] 32 ML RE 7 SEV NOC EXT VFR, 4 way branching 22 buds Variable Crispate UNUSUAL FORM This gorgeous nocturnal has amazing garden presence. The glittering, lemon-chartreuse self has a neon lime green throat, heavy creped substance. (blooms are much greener and more lemony than these photos show) The blooms open very flat, and the petals generally recurve and twist. The most shocking thing about this bloom is that (as a diploid) it has 1/16 inch micro-fringed petals! The fringing is at times like small shark's teeth. Sepals are quilled and pinched. Offers the hybridizer great opportunities for developing fringed diploids. The pollen appears to be sterile, but the plant is pod fertile.
